The airstrike killed five villagers, including a 2-year-old child, and injured two others
Yesterday, Thursday, Jan 12th, SAC aircraft intentionally bombed the civilian population of Lay Wah in Pay Kay village tract, Lu Thaw township of Mu Traw (Hpapun) District. The airstrike killed five villagers, including a 2-year-old child, and injured two others.
Much of the community’s critical infrastructure was destroyed, including its Middle School. Only by good fortune were none of the 100 children attending the school earlier in the day killed or wounded. The whole community is now deeply traumatised from this indiscriminate targeting, yet its resilience to resist is only further reinforced.
KECD asks you to stand in solidarity and help them to protect and rebuild their lives.
