Hto Lwe Wah School celebrated World Peace Day

On September 19, 2024, Hto Lwe Wah School celebrated World Peace Day, with over 300 participants, including community leaders, teachers, and students. After the formal ceremony, students performed a drama titled “From Truth to Peace.”
The International Day of Peace, observed annually on September 21, promotes global solidarity and efforts toward a peaceful, sustainable world. Despite ongoing conflicts in KNU-controlled areas, people continue to observe this day in every way they can.
Karen Education and Culture Department is the governing body that works alongside communities to oversee the standardization, structuring, delivery and monitoring of sustainable quality educational activities and outcomes for the Karen peoples inside Southeast Burma.
