On May 3, 2025, representatives from the Karen Education and Culture Department (KECD) proudly participated in the Education Everywhere 4 Conference held in Mae Sot.
The event brought together educators, academics, and education advocates from Thailand, Myanmar, and beyond to explore innovative approaches to ensuring access to education in crisis-affected and low-resource contexts.
KECD’s research team contributed to this important dialogue by presenting “The Hidden Strength: Karen Teachers’ Role in Education Continuity,” highlighting the vital, often overlooked efforts of Karen teachers in sustaining learning opportunities for their communities amidst ongoing challenges.
