It is with deep sadness that we share the tragic news of five schoolchildren who lost their lives following an airstrike conducted by the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) in K’Baw Yu Plaw Village.
It is with deep sadness that we share the tragic news of five schoolchildren who lost their lives following an airstrike conducted by the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) in K’Baw Yu Plaw Village.
On 9 October 2025, the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) intentionally targeted civilians and conducted an airstrike using a 300-pound bomb on K’Baw Yu Plaw Village, Yo Klar Village Tract, Bilin Township, Doo Tha Htu District. This unlawful attack resulted in the tragic deaths of five students and caused injuries to two other students, as well as five villagers.
List of Deceased Students:
1. Saw Lin Htet Tha, age 7, Grade 3 student,
2. Naw Pu Loe (aka) Naw Ma Than Than, age 12, Grade 7 student,
3. Naw Mya Chit Chit (aka) Naw Ma Khin San Myint), age 10, Grade 5 student,
4. Naw May Kalar Paw, age 9, Grade 4 student,
5. Saw Tun Tun Min, age 6, Grade 4 student.
Similarly, on 19 April 2025, in Khaw Poe Pleh Village, Bilin Township, Doo Tha Htu District, even though no fighting occurred nearby, the SAC (now SSPC) conducted an airstrike that killed one student and two elderly women.
The victims’ families and the local community are now experiencing deep distress, fear, and uncertainty. We share their grief and stand in solidarity with them. We sincerely hope that the international community will take immediate action to help end such tragic incidents and protect innocent civilians.
