SAC’s Ongoing Attacks on Education and Civilians
On February 13, 2025, at 4:10 PM, the SAC deliberately dropped a 500-pound bombs on a school in Kaw Ka Village, Kyet Htu Township (Kyaikto), Doo Tha Htu District (Thaton).
The explosion completely destroyed the school building and damaged furniture, textbooks, and other essential learning materials. Sports equipment, hygiene supplies, and even teachers’ housing were also hit.
Since the coup, the SAC has relentlessly attacked schools, civilian areas, and community religion infrastructures. Just days earlier, on February 9, 2025, an SAC jet bombed Htee Hsea Baw Monastery in Billin Township (Belin), Doo Tha Htu District.
The ongoing destruction of education is not just about buildings and books, it’s about the future of children and entire communities.
