On June 14th, we commemorate Kawthoolei Day, a testament to the enduring spirit of a people who, like seeds, could not be buried. Seventy-six years ago, a vision of freedom, dignity, and a promised dawn named Kawthoolei was born from the heart of resistance. Our elders sought justice in the hills, their footsteps writing dreams into the soil and passing down a legacy of defiance.
Today, we, the sons and daughters of that revolution, remember their sacrifice not with silence, but with a fire that burns from the ashes of burned villages to the hearts of the global diaspora. The dream of Kawthoolei still breathes, bleeds, and burns, and on this day, we declare that it is not forgotten but is rising. From the forests of Kawthoolei to the halls of power worldwide, let it be known: we are still here, we are still fighting, and we will return.
