Myanmar Military Drone Strike Damages School in Hpa-an District

On August 19, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Myanmar military carried out an attack targeting U Moo Hta High School in Meh Proo village tract, Lu Pleh Township, Hpa-an District. Two suicide drones were deployed during the assault. One struck the village area, while the other directly hit the school compound.

The school building was severely damaged as a result of the attack. Fortunately, no students were injured. However, due to safety and security concerns, the school has been forced to suspend classes until further notice.
