Students, Teachers, and Parents Fellowship Event
In December 2025, the Karen Education and Culture Department (KECD) at the Township, District, and Central levels organized Students, Teachers, and Parents Fellowship Events. The events included various sports activities, cultural performances, diverse competitions, as well as music and songs.
In 2025, the fellowship events were organized in four locations:
• Doo Tha Htu District, Tha Htu Township
• Doo Playa District, Noh Ta Kaw Township
• Hpa-an District, Lu Pleh Township
• Hpa-an District, Ta Kreh Township
From 11–12 December 2025, the event was held in Kaw Ler Village, Tha Htu Township, Doo Tha Htu District, with the participation of over 200 students, teachers, and parents.
From 15–16 December 2025, the event took place in Ywar Loe Taung Village, Noh Ta Kaw Township, Doo Playa District, with more than 200 students, teachers, and parents in attendance.
From 22–23 December 2025, the event was organized in Ywar Wa Mi Klar Village, Lu Pleh Township, Hpa-an District, with over 300 participants, including students, teachers, and parents.
On the same dates (22–23 December 2025), another fellowship event was held in Pwo Pwor Lay Village, Ta Kreh Township, Hpa-an District, attended by more than 400 students, teachers, and parents.
Karen teachers, students, and community members are currently living under significant pressure and hardship due to multiple challenges. The purpose of these fellowship events was to provide a platform for relaxation and psychosocial support, foster stronger connections among students, teachers, and parents, strengthen inter-school networks across townships and areas, and enhance community engagement and collaboration.
