On April 28, 2026, at around 12:55 pm, in Ler Mu Thaw Village, Ler Doh Township, Kler Lwee Htoo District, the Burmese military junta deliberately carried out a jet fighter airstrike on the village. The attack killed one schoolchild and damaged two dormitory buildings, along with livestock.
These actions have caused loss of life, displacement, and deep fear among community members. People are now facing serious concerns about their safety, shelter, health, food, drink, and other basic needs. Community development activities have also been disrupted and delayed.
The victim’s family is currently overwhelmed with grief, pain, and a sense of loss. At the same time, the wider community is struggling with fear and financial hardship during this difficult period. Both physical and psychological support are urgently needed.
While the military junta claims to promote justice, peace, and development to the World, but the reality on the ground tells a different story. Ordinary civilians continue to face violence, oppression, and economic hardship. We urge the international community to conduct a serious investigation and hold those responsible accountable to protect civilians.
